Singular Lagrangians in Supermechanics

چکیده
The time evolution operator K is introduced in the graded context and its main properties are discussed. In particular, the operator K is used to analize the projectability of constraint functions arising in the Lagrangian formalism for singular Lagrangians.

Coisotropic regularization of singular Lagrangians
We present an alternative approach to the usual treatments of singular Lagrangians. It is based on a Hamiltonian regularization scheme inspired on the coisotropic embedding of presymplectic systems. A Lagrangian regularization of a singular Lagrangian is a regular Lagrangian defined on an extended velocity phase space that reproduces the original theory when restricted to the initial configurat...
متن کاملLegendre Transformation for Regularizable Lagrangians in Field Theory
Hamilton equations based not only upon the Poincaré–Cartan equivalent of a first-order Lagrangian, but rather upon its Lepagean equivalent are investigated. Lagrangians which are singular within the Hamilton–De Donder theory, but regularizable in this generalized sense are studied. Legendre transformation for regularizable Lagrangians is proposed, and Hamilton equations, equivalent with the Eul...
متن کاملTotally singular Lagrangians and affine Hamiltonians of higher order
A higher order Lagrangian or an affine Hamiltonian is totally singular if its vertical Hessian vanishes. A natural duality relation between totally singular Lagrangians and affine Hamiltonians is studied in the paper. We prove that the energy of a totally singular affine Hamiltonian has as a dual a suitable first order totally singular Lagrangian. Relations between the solutions of Euler and Ha...
متن کاملVariational problems of some second order Lagrangians given by Pfaff forms
In this paper we study the dynamics of some second order Lagrangians that come from Pfaff forms, i.e. differential forms on tangent bundles. In the non-singular case, mainly considered in the paper, the generalized Euler-Lagrange equation is a third order differential equation. We prove that the solutions of the differential equations of motion of a charge in a field and the Euler equations of ...

We take advantage of different generalizations of the tangent manifold to the context of graded manifolds, together with the notion of super section along a morphism of graded manifolds, to obtain intrinsic definitions of the main objects in supermechanics such as, the vertical endomorphism, the canonical and the Cartan’s graded forms, the total time derivative operator and the super–Legendre t...
